It took about 20 years for my brain to calculate how powerful and influential the written word is. I always thought of myself as a math person, specialized in computer science and software development. I even worked with an enterprise company doing software as a service (SaaS) platform, and they are the world leader in their field, so it’s far from a small thing. Also started my own software company. So I had my reasons to consider myself a math person, and I still am, but not only. I now see that throughout the years, being able to persuade someone was a potent asset.
Of-course reaching the point of realizing the above was a journey. During elementary school, I did not have a computer, and very few people had one. But my uncle was working at the national science institute, and he had one. He has a degree in robotics, and I loved visiting his family. These visits lit a spark in me for computers. Understandably I was mostly playing DOS games at that time. But I decided that I want to study computer science, specialized in math and software programming in high school, and then went to university to study computer science. At that time, I was struggling with writing and needed to increase my grades. I turned to a cousin of mine as she was good at writing in multiple languages. She explained some foundational structures, but in a way that clicked with me. Writing became much more pleasant.
Towards the end of my university, I started working as a software engineer. Progressed relatively quickly from junior to mid-level, then senior and a team lead. I was pretty happy with all my achievements in that process. But I always had entrepreneurial thinking and wanted to create something more.
I got married and a few years after that started a software company. The need for writing to convince someone for something was becoming more and more evident. That led me to gradually start spending a larger portion of my day writing persuasive texts. I helped my wife with her brand, working with her on multiple other initiatives that needed marketing. In that, there was communication with clients both for my company and my wife’s brand. And the strange part — I actually liked writing. Being able to convey information naturally and understandably turned out much more complicated than one would imagine. Let alone convincing someone that a specific thing is good. It turned out that this is an art. So I decided to take on the challenge and master it.
Only being good at writing was not sufficient for me. I wanted to take it even further and create a company that would offer copywriting services. To achieve that, I needed someone who has the same passion for copywriting. My mind was buzzing all over the place, and then a name popped up — Maria. At that time, I knew Maria for about 9 years, so I had a solid understanding that I could trust her, and her character would be a fantastic fit. We did several talks with her. She was looking for the same thing, and it took off.
Since then, we needed to jump through various hoops, start the company, plot the vision, define processes, secure funding, learn and practice practice practice… But the copywriting agency is now a reality (I guess that makes me a serial entrepreneur). We are honored to offer you our services.
Computers and software are not my only interests. Writing is the newest one, as you can already tell. I’m also a big SciFi fan. I watched many movies and series of Star Trek (The Next Generation, Voyager), Stargate (CG-1, Atlantis, tried watching Universe), and Star Wars are among my favorites. Reading a SciFi book is also an excellent way to relax. I enjoyed reading “The Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy: A Trilogy in Five Parts.” Although with the kids watching movies and having downtime for reading is not that often.

Photography is my long-time hobby. I have been behind the camera since my teenage years. Some of my favorite things to capture on a shot are nature and portraits. Initially, I used a low-end digital camera, then moved to a mid-level digital camera for many years. Now I have a full-frame DSLR that I love. In recent years most of my shots are in the product photography space, where I needed to learn a lot more about lighting and flashes. That led me to experiment with remote flashes, a challenge on its own. My current setup has two strobes, but I would love to add another one.

Things like artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain as a technology, and cryptocurrencies are a natural interest of mine with my math and software background. I would love to expand my knowledge and experiment with 3D printing, another area of great interest. There is a lot of innovation happening around 3D printing. Generally, I’m drawn to innovative things. But I take it with a pinch of salt since there are many ethical cases we as humanity need to cope with revolving around AI, Crypto, etc.
Another high-interest topic is time management and efficiency. Having a family with kids and multiple businesses on top dictates the need for efficiency and a proper balance of priorities.
